In the large-scale site specific murals potentially familiar, yet only provisional symbols, find their way into the exhibition sites walls; growing, stretching, twisting and contorting towards the very limits of their recognisability.
Like tattoos on the skin of a building, the appropriated linguistic signs; anthropomorphic, zoomorphic and biomorphic in their corporeality, alter their form performatively. Lingering in conditions where previously agreed upon guidelines for reading can be identified, but where compliance with them is challenging if not fully impossible.
Refusing their intended meaning and gesturing towards new, freer ways of existing, through illegibility, fragmentation, incoherence, these signs playfully embody the slippery nature of language and its codifications.
